They seem to have a tough time wrapping their heads around this. Of course, they have faith because it is unverifiable. Sam Harris' eloquent words ring true: faith is the permission that people give each other to believe without evidence. Without that social support a person of "faith" is no different from a crazy person. If one person believes an unverifiable claim based on faith, then we call that person's mental condition into question. If a billion people believe the same unverifiable claim based on faith, then we call it a religion.

What kind of verifiable knowledge can your faith give? I'm guessing none.

If you think otherwise; please let me know what kind of verifiable knowledge your faith can give you.

If you don't have any kind of verifiable knowledge that this faith process can give, then why should I trust it to give me unverifiable knowledge?

GOD’SON said "Faith is everything. Everyone needs to know God and you will see his glory"

(I just happened to be channel surfing earlier and came across a program on the 9/11 hijackers and their beliefs on The National Geographic Channel)

How about Mohammed Atta and the other hijackers? They obviously had a great deal of faith. Is destroying airplanes and buildings and killing thousands of innocent people showing “God’s glory”?
