"What do you think Jesus meant when He said, in regard to those who were crucifying in Him, 'Father forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing.' "

Excellent point! Jesus and the Bible often contradicts himself/Itself, and I'm glad that you brought it up. Of course, you could also distort "forgive" to ALSO mean "throw into a Lake of fire for eternity" -- Glad I'm so forgiven! Actually, I'd guess that Jesus was talking about those who were actually in the process of crucifying him.

Now, why do I think that Jesus thinks that hell exists and that He is planning on sending His enemies to hell forever?

Take, for example, John 3:18 "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." Matthew 25:41 "Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels'" and John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God’s wrath.” (Which is John the Baptist talking, but of course, God lets this stand uncorrected...) <div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('344','ConverseAtheist'); return false;">Reply</a> | <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('344','ConverseAtheist','"What do you think Jesus meant when He said, in regard to those who were crucifying in Him, 'Father forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing.' " \n \nExcellent point!
Where does Jesus say that His enemies will be tortured forever?
